Making salaries matter

Sustainability is such a huge agenda and grand interventions are needed -the prospect is scary and daunting. It is human to think that there is little we can do. How can we make it matter to more of us? Perhaps by exploring why there is such a huge disparity in salaries and seeing what we could collectively do?

Grace, ethics and sustainability

We often assume that, because we are in a value-centred field such as sustainability, we will be ethical without question. Most of us can willingly talk about the moral principles that guide us: and it is assumed that we will be ethical in all we say and do.

2012- the end of times or????

We are one day away from 2012. This is the year that some have predicted will lead to the end of times- some say the world will end. Others have a more positive outlook and say we are approaching a new age where we will be more considerate and thoughtful for and of each other.

Natural Creativity

What we value

All around us, wherever we are, are signs that what we value is money and what it brings. We work to earn money to live a decent life. Some of us work in for profit companies and others in not for profit; however even if we are altruistic, part of our aim is making money.
